TELEVISION

I specialized in television for two years. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of television including the producing, filmimg and editing. The softwarethat  I am confident in includes: Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Premiere and to a lesser extent Adobe After Effects. Below is a list of categories that I have created videos on.

The two documentaries included here form part of my longer pieces portfolio. I thoroughly enjoy spending a substantial amount of time working on a piece and conducting extensive research on each of the topics.

Cue Tv is set up during the National Arts Festival held in Grahamstown every year. It showcases the performances, artwork and entertainment  that the festival has to offer. Working for Cue Tv is requires hard work and dedication as every morning there is a news meeting where story ideas are pitched and then the rest of te day involves getting hold of directors, artists as well as filming the performances. In 2012, me and two other class mates worked with Ogilvy in creating 12 short pieces on the 12 student theatre performances. In conjunction with that I was afforded the opportunity to cover some other brilliant performances.

This particular profile was done as a part of an Upstart innitiative. I enjoyed working on this profile as it allowed for the opportunity to spend quite some time getting to know the person I profiled as well as allowing for some creativity.

This news piece was ctraeted during the municipal elections in Grahamstown. The reason I enjoy covering news is because of the immediacy and adrenaline to get the story in time.

This music video was created as part of my course outline. It was a lot of fun to make and allowed for my crew and I to get creative.

In this feature I look at the floods that occured in Port Alfred during October 2012. I enjoy creating features stories as they often involve interesting subject matter and allow for me to be creative with how I put the piece together.
